Breakfast: Frosted Mini-Wheats + Banana

Lunch: Rice+Brat+Salsa mixed together

Dinner: Diced Potatoes+Onion+peppers + Ketchup

Other: 3 Coffee with Sugar and milk or creamer, one Caffeine Free Pepsi.

I don’t currently have a working scale. I shall be purchasing one when my financial aid money comes in. Until then i will not be having weigh ins for obvious reasons.

After i purchase it, i intend to weigh myself ONCE A WEEK ONLY, so I do not become obsessive over the little dial and depress myself.

Sunday June 14, 2009: Good day after bombing yesterday

Yesterday was the aforementioned treat day, and I had way the hell too much icecream. Next week I shall be more careful.

Today was much much better.

Breakfast: Bowl of Special K knockoff cereal w/ Strawberries, Coffee with milk+sugar+low fat whipped topping (I do not drink my coffee like this regularly, we had to finish off the whipped topping stuff from the icecream thing yesterday). Usually i have one to one half spoons of sugar, and a splash of milk in my coffee.

Lunch: Bratwurst on bread w/ baked beans.

Small snack: Sugar free chocolate pudding (only calories come from minor amount of skim milk, roughly 30 i believe).

Dinner: Half a Chicken breast and mashed sweet potato.

Hmm, did I have too much sugar today? Hmm, it seems that way, but the only extra sugar was in the coffee, i shall cut back on the sugar in my coffee (but never eliminate it). I feel today was good, slight room for improvement, but overall decent.

I am planning going to the Gym in the Morning depending on dad’s health. If I don’t make it… i shall….. *sigh* try to start my walking routine. I love working out in the gym, i hate walking the streets of the park… people here just annoy me.

Saturday, June 13 2009: Day 1

It is not my first day of dieting, rather, it is my first day of using a blog as an aid.

I am overweight. Because I am embarassed I will not give a number, but I will say that I am not a casual dieter who wants to lose a few vanity pounds. I need to lose some serious weight.

The rules of my diet are simple. I’m not going to go into hardcore number crunching, rather:

  • I am eating reasonably sized meals. I am not pulling out the measuring cups on everything, but i’m using general rule of thumb for portions (deck of card meat etc)
  • I am eating no more than my initial serving
  • I am setting aside one day a week (Saturday or Sunday depending on mood), in which I can have something truly bad for me. I use this as a way to fight temptation during the week. If i crave Icecream on Wednesday, instead of depressing myself and saying i can’t have it ever, i tell myself to just hold on till the weekend treat.
  • Exercising when i can find the time.

In the future i will be writing down what i eat, but i havn’t kept track today, so i’ll start tomorrow.

I’ll also be recording my feelings on the process. Feel free to leave ideas and suggestions in the comments, with one rule, no fad diets. I am simply decreasing calories, and increasing activity. Screw carbs, points and high protein BS.
